Dr. Nguyen works on issues of global health with a particular focus on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias among older adults. Her work has impacted critical humanitarian policy work, focusing on environmental factors and social structures that contribute to these problems, and has previously been involved with nonprofit community organizations that contribute to the needs of recent immigrant populations.

Ms. Jekka Garner, BFA with Distinction, UNC Chapel Hill; JD, Cum Laude, Washington College of Law. During her time at WCL, Jekka completed more than 375 pro bono hours earning her Exceptional Service Honors. She has formerly worked as both a government affairs clerk and senior assistant counsel. Dr. Duy Duong-Tran is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at The United States Naval Academy. He is also a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. During his PhD, he has worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
